What is included

What counts as an emergency.

  • Loss of power

Whole house or part of it, when it is not a wider outage in your area.

  • Tripping that will not reset

A main switch or RCD that trips again as soon as you reset it.

  • Burning smell or heat

Hot, scorched or buzzing sockets, switches or fuse boards.

  • Exposed or damaged wiring

Cables damaged by work, pests, water or impact.

  • Water and electrics

Leaks or flooding that have reached sockets, lights or the board.

  • Make-safe after an incident

Isolating damaged circuits so the rest of the property can be used safely until a full repair.

Process

How it works, step by step.

  1. 01

    Ring us

Tell us what you can see, hear and smell. We will tell you what to switch off and what not to touch.

  2. 02

We give you a straight answer

How soon we can get to you and what the call-out costs. If we cannot reach you quickly enough, we will say so.

  3. 03

    Make it safe

The first job is always to remove the danger. Often the fault can be repaired on the same visit.

  4. 04

    Follow-up

If further work is needed you get a written price for it. No pressure to go ahead on the spot.

You are told the call-out charge on the phone before we travel. Anything beyond making the fault safe is priced before it is done.
